Na semana passada, terminamos nosso estudo sobre os nove ramos do fruto do Espírito (Gl 5:22, 23). Nas próximas duas semanas, vamos estudar mais dois: “Porque o fruto da luz consiste em toda bondade, e justiça, e verdade” (Ef 5:9). Neste verso, Paulo repete a referência à “bondade” enquanto acrescenta justiça e verdade. Nesta semana, vamos examinar o que é essa “justiça”.
Entendemos justiça de duas formas. Primeiramente, existe a justiça imputada de Cristo, que é o que Jesus fez para nós, a justiça que nos cobre e que é nosso título para o Céu. Em seguida, existe a justiça comunicada de Cristo, que é o que Ele faz em nós, por meio do Espírito Santo, para nos moldar à Sua imagem. Assim entendida, a justiça tem dois componentes inseparáveis, embora todas realmente sejam uma justiça – a justiça de Cristo, sem a qual não teríamos esperança de salvação.
